What is this Franken Golf?

So I’m watching ‘Ring videos, as you do on Sunday night, and one of the cars is a Golf that sounds... different. It’s got a widebody kit and sweet wing, but the cylinder count sounds significantly higher. Anyone know/guess?

First guess would be a Golf W12, but i don’t think it was more than a one-off.

Seems to handle better than that one did (on TG at least) but you never know. I think the engine sounds more like a V10, which would be baaad ass.

It's a Golf24. It's got an Audi 2.5 in it. Made for Endurance races.
